Nosecone and Capsules, 2009

Ropes suspend an airplane nosecone. By climbing several steps an eye level swarm is revealed. Pill capsules filled with iron filings and graphite circulate upon the surface. It sounds similar to a waterfall and a washing machine. A secondary soundtrack is also heard of National Guard helicopters with cockpit chatter hovering over recent floods. Graphite dust fills the air and errant broken capsules litter the floor having been crushed by the viewers feet.

Computer modeled diamonds, cut by laser cutter and hand assembled, are scattered upon a poured black silicone base.

Space Vacuum, 2008

A large remotely controlled faux vacuum cleaner is operated by video feed, joystick, and a button. The public downstairs operates the sculpture upstairs. A secondary hidden consul is operated by gallery staff. The robotic sculpture nearly fills the undersized installation space. Those who venture inside the space are potentially pinned against the wall. The vacuum cleaner generates dust by grinding away at the walls, floors, and itself. If the button is depressed fans blow the dirt around the room and onto the viewer.

Synaptic Gap , 2008

A silvered and impaled tumbleweed pinned amongst sprung wood poles is lit by a panning searchlight through a slit in the wall.

Tumbleweed, microprocessor, oscilloscope, video cameras, projector, monitor, pipe, motors, switches, paint, and wood.

Peepshow, 2008

A mirror with a viewing port cut out is installed on the inside front door of the art gallery Future Tenant in Pittsburgh. The faces of people looking inside were simultaneously projected skewed on the monitor above. This monitor could be seen by passerbys.
